Uncommon Bloom

Uncommon Bloom is an artesanal hand-bound, thirty-copy publication created in collaboration with Kulturfolger. It contains "A Selection of Somnambulist Writing", a collection of texts, quotes, thoughts on botany and flowers following different historical periods and discourses: literary, theoretical and scientific. Together they give an insight into narrating botany, floral history and representation of nature. An index of texts and language, gives the opportunity to move beyond the creation of new texts and manage, parse, appropriate, and reconstruct those that already exist.

Texts were shown as a part of the research for the Uncommon Bloom exhibition in Villa Renata, Basel, from 21.5 - 18.6. 2017. The publication was exhibited at Volumes Zurich 2017 and Fruit Exhibition Bologna 2018.
