"Our mission is to encourage African heritage survivors/victims to report domestic and sexual abuse by providing a safe cultural venue for victims to disclose abuse in a confidential environment where they can see themselves reflected."
Free my skin; a celebration of our identity, knowing our roots, and standing firm in the various things that make us who we are.
A defiant roll call to break free from the restrictions placed on us by society and institutions.
Steam Down's Free My Skin was a key component that greatly influenced the sonic direction of the project.
Featuring scenes from Parliament Square, and Westminister. All rights reserved to the respective artists for the song, stock videos and images.
Sistah Space is an inspirational charity that works with African heritage women & girls who have experienced domestic or sexual abuse, as well as those who have lost a loved one to domestic violence. They do amazing work to protect many different sections of the African & Caribbean community, including the Rastafarian/ Grassroots community - who are often on the fringes of society.
It is because of these reasons that we want to raise money to support Sistah Space for their incredible work throughout Hackney and beyond.

We wouldn't be here if it weren't for the fantastic efforts of the crew, cast and supporting creatives. The past year has been hard for everyone and the creative industry has been particularly hard hit by the pandemic so thank you to everyone who gave their time and efforts towards this project!
We have a donation link to raise some small funds for the team that put this together. If you would like to donate money to this fund, please see right.
Thank you!
