this project is also about empathy, mental desintegration, milk as a language, wounds, drippings, failure as a method, abysses, indiscernibility, separation, disgustingness, anger, lacks, losses and beautiful [l]earnings.

THE RESIDENCY ON PARENTING is an ongoing project of cecilia cavalieri during the MOTHERS IN ARTS RESIDENCY

the artist is inviting people she trusts to stay with her and her daughter until the residency ends, specially people who would like to have children - or the ones who are planning to do it soon -, to have a real domestic experience with a 2yo baby/toddler. the residents are welcomed to:

from 5 pm to 10 am: sleep over in a separated single bed, help with diapers, bath time, bed time "routine", feeding, dishes, cooking, playing with the kid, cleaning and do whatever concerns baby's life;
residents are free to stay from one up to seven nights, its up to the resident;
the rest of the day the residents can do whatever they want;
the residents don't have to be responsible for the kid and will not be left alone with the baby;
night outings can be negotiated;
the artist will be offering the food;
any money collaboration is gratefully accepted once the residence is taking place in a communal floor led by artists in a former school building;
some record of this project will be shown at the final exhibition, in the beginning of june 2017.
