BRIGHTER is a free writing for performance project from Outbox Theatre.
We want you to write about the future. Words, sentences, images, rhythms, rhymes, poems and monologues about your past experiences allowing you to imagine a queerer horizon.

How it works
On this website you will find 12 tasks (split into 3 sections) to inspire and ignite your creativity. We’ve suggested an order, but journey through the tasks in any way you want. By the end, you might have a poem, a monologue, a scene, a piece of spoken word or creative writing, a political speech. It’s up to you!
This project originally ran from October 2020 - January 2021 working with 8 LGBTQIA+ organisations acroess the country: Leicester LGBT Centre, LGBT Foundation, Micro Rainbow, OutBurst, The Proud Trust, SAYiT, Say It Loud Club and Step Out.
A selection of pieces from across all groups was chosen and published as the BRIGHTER booklet and 4 short films were made - watch them all here.
