Fraport Vip-Lounge
Fraport VIP-Lounge Commerzbank-Arena
Technical Roundup:
This interactive installation consists of 3 elements:
1.) A projection mapping on two tables of 320*90 cm showing a map of Frankfurt and the surrounding region.
You can see tiny planes flying around according to the actual air traffic around Frankfurt Airport and the Commerzbank Arena, which is located in direct neighbourhood to the airfield.
There ist also some information about the actual footballmatch and about the menu, visitors can choose their food from (which most of the time is really yummy).
2.) Two wallmounted Full-HD TV-Sets showing a virtual interactive splitflap-display (or stadium-TV)
The splitflap-design goes back to the fact, that Fraport nowadays uses their oldschool-flappy-displays, which are still active in their main terminal-hall, as some kind of landmark.
3.) A WebApp running on an iPad or any other logged in device to control the whole content displayed on both the TVs and the tables.
One can choose, what to show (e.g. "go away, streets of doom!") and maintain the whole content via database-access.
This allows for instance to change the menu on the fly during the course of the match and to let the visitors be part of a betting game shown on the splitflaps with all competitors, their bet and who´s going to win, if the match ends according to the actual score.
And if Eintracht Frankfurt wins, the whole installation goes nuts... well... at least a little bit!
