Fraport InfoBooth
Technical Roundup:
This booth consists of 2 parts.
There is the virtual splitflap-display, that can be programmed on the fly. In theory you can show of any textual content you want as a constantly changing nice "flapping" animation resembling the look and feel of those old airport displays, that are still used in Frankfurt airports main terminal.
And then there ist the monolithic white table/box, which shows a map of FRA and the surrounding region.
On top are six tablets which show differing content about some of the main topics concerning the airport.
To get the respective App activated, you grab a plane (with an nfc-chip integrated into the base), place it on one of six blue spots on the map and the corresponding tablet starts showing some information about the linked topic.
The information is presented within a Touchscreen-App containing text, pictures, videos and webpages.
