Citlali Huezo Sánchez was born in El Salvador, Central America in 1974, grew up in Mexico and lives in Berlin.
She completed her acting training at the Casa del Teatro in Mexico City (Mexico 1995-1998) She continued her training at the Diplomado Teatro del Cuerpo (Mexico 2000-2002)
Since then she has participated in more than 30 productions directed by German, Polish and Mexican directors.

In 2003 she began teaching body dramaturgy and gave acting classes in important institutions of the Mexican theater scene.
She has worked as a trainer and choreographer in numerous theatrical productions, among them her work for the "Compañía Nacional de Teatro" México. (2009/2012/2015)
In 2007 she was invited by the german group Cosmofactory Theater Produktion as actress in the play “Paula und Frida” in Worpswede. Her interpretation of Frida Kahlo received excellent reviews on her work in the local newspapers. The season was repeated in 2008 with the same success. Since 2008 she lives and works in Berlin and collaborates with different projects in Mexico and starts personal projects that lead her to explore and develop her own aesthetics and search for a personal stage language.
She has also worked as a "mediator", giving courses in verbal and physical expression to young people doing social service in rural communities.
In Europe she has given workshops in Germany, Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

„...I am a professional actress, movement theater pedagogue and movement perfomer - physical theater. As an actress-creator, I have always been interested in using physicality as a trigger for content in a creative process and as a content-translator of meaning in the elaboration of a piece. I am very interested in the relationship between emotion and body, subtle gestures, and collective body work. The voice as sound, as a physical element of corporeality.
After studying acting, I specialized in physical theater techniques, I have dedicated myself to the pedagogy of corporal theater (corporal dramaturgy as we call it in my land) for many years and it has also been a source of inspiration and knowledge besides being a permanent study.
As a creator - performer it is through the body - voice plasticity that I have developed a scenic language...“
