Your photographs will outlive you.

I know, way to start all heavy, but it’s uniquely truthful. Your wedding photos will live on much longer than you and I ever will. They will forever tell your love story.

What I want to leave you with, from the time we spend together on your wedding day are photos that tell of a moving, joyful story that is full of heart, laughter and your little quirks. You know, those things that you do that everyone thinks are cute. They help define you.

Now, I want to tell you a little of who I am. This is essential. I exist to feel the wind on my face, to breathe the night air deeply and humbly, to smile at strangers, to be a husband, a disciple, a friend, a brother, a son and one day a father. I exist because I feel the need to create art through photography.

I want to make good art, every day. I find weddings irresistible. Each one different from the next, never two exactly the same. The happiness and the overwhelming love that everyone will share with you is such a beautiful whirlwind to embrace.

On your wedding day I will laugh with you, maybe cry with you, high five you and wear my heart on my sleeve for you. I’ll be there when you want me to and only leave when you have done so. The longest wedding I have shot was 16 hours, the shortest is 10 hours. Those are really just numbers. What I want to say is: I'll always be there for you.

I truthfully believe that we must be friends before I come and share with you in your wedding day. You can cry in front of your friends, you can crazily laugh (or snort, I won’t hold it against you) and you can be genuine and sincere in your emotions. That cannot be done in front of a stranger with a camera.

Now that, my friend, is what makes great photos.
