Olga Preiss was born in 1990 in Novosibirsk and came to Germany when she was six years old. Already as a young woman she was fascinated by the interaction with other people and the stories connected with and fathomable by them and developed her interest in social work. Among other things, she became involved in a facility for people with physical and mental disabilities in Israel, in the Kassel Girls' House and for Viva con Agua de St. Pauli.

In addition to studying photography at the FH Bielefeld, the enthusiasm and entry into the moving image. Since 2014 she works freelance between these social and commercial worlds and varies in her visual language between portraits & narrative, where she breathes memories into the viewer and at the same time makes the reference to the present tangible. Be it documentary works, music videos or in advertising.
Olga Preiss tells in her own visual language, in a gentle, close and authentic way, which takes the viewer by the hand and lets him glimpse into personal stories and destinies.
