A3 is pleased to announce the new catalogue "mad love" produced on the occasion of the group exhibition "mad love" that took place at Arndt Art Agency, Berlin from 06.06. to the 29.09.17.
Curated by Del Kathryn Barton, the exhibition provided a contemporary image of current Australian art within the context of Germany and Europe. Participating artists included: Brook Andrew, Del Kathryn Barton, Pat Brassington, Dale Frank, Mirdidingkingathi Juwarnda Sally Gabori, Ramesh Mario Nithiyendran, Patricia Piccinini, Ben Quilty and Paul Yore.
The catalogue includes a foreword by Her Excellency Ambassador Lynette Wood, Australian Embassy, Germany, an exhibition essay by Beate Scheder, and transcript from a round table discussion with Del Kathryn Barton (mad love curator and artist), Alexie Glass-Kantor (Executive Director, Artspace Sydney) and mad love artists Patricia Piccinini and Paul Yore.
The show and catalogue were realised through the direct support of the Australian Government as part of the cultural initiative Australia now 2017.
